MINI PILING
Restricted access mini piling is our specialism, we have experience of delivering projects on smaller restricted sites which pose logistical challenges for larger plant and equipment.
With access to a vast range of equipment we will have something suitable for most site restrictions, our smallest piling rig can fit through a standard doorway making it ideal for extensions to existing buildings.

TECHNIQUES
SFA (SECTIONAL FLIGHT AUGER)
SFA mini piling has low noise and vibrations making it ideal for working on projects that are in close proximity to adjacent buildings.

Drilling commences with a toothed lead auger, then additional augers sections are added to the rig as they are bored into the ground. When the required depth is reached, grout or concrete is mixed and pumped through the hollow stem of the augers as they are extracted and removed. The grout or concrete is cast to the platform level before a steel reinforcement cage is inserted completing the installation of the pile.

The SFA mini piling technique can also be used to construct contiguous and secant piled retaining walls.

SCD (STEEL CASED DRIVEN)
SCD is a displacement mini piling technique, steel tube is driven in to the ground in sections, the sections are welded together, once the pile has been driven to its design depth the steel tube is filled with concrete.

Our mini piling capabilities allow us to undertake installation of piles between 150mm - 600mm down to depths of up to 20 metres.
Our design team will establish the most suitable and cost effective pile solution for your project, with the depth and diameter of pile determined by the present ground conditions.
