PILED - RAFTS & SLABS

Piled raft slabs are structural reinforced concrete foundations offered as a package and utilised in the domestic and residential sectors.

 

Ancora are able to take your project information from conceptual design through to construction on site, firstly we will look at the ground conditions and propose the most cost effective piling solution, the system can be utilised with augured and driven techniques, once established we can plot pile positions with point loads in accordance with internal walls within the perimeter and design the slab.

A piled raft slab is offered both as a voided and none voided system, which will be dependent on whether heave precautions are necessary, it can also accommodate single or multi plots, internal drainage, step level changes, internal pile caps and lift pits.

Methodology

​

• Establish 50mm thick concrete blinding working platform around perimeter of projected plot raft

• Set out pile and plot positions

• Install piles to correct level

• Establish and install internal drainage runs and outlets

• Place void former where required and apply perimeter shuttering

• Steel reinforcement placed within shuttering and tied into piles

• Concrete pumped within shuttering

• Concrete cured over 3-5 days

• Remove shuttering completing process

• Structural reinforced concrete slab ready for follow on trades
